Even before I became the digital entrepreneur you know me to be today, I was a simple worker at a milk warehouse in England. Day after day, for 12 hours, six days a week, I devoted my time and energy to this place. My routine was like an endless merry-go-round - home-work, work-home. On my one day off, I felt overwhelmed with household chores—cleaning, washing, shopping—with little time for rest or relaxation.

Soon the days began to melt into one another. My mood began to deteriorate. I was sad, nervous and irritable all the time. Every word or action was interpreted in a negative way, and decisions were made impulsively without analyzing the consequences.

One day, I woke up from this fog of negativity and confusion and said to myself, "This can't be done anymore." I decided it was time to make a change. I took a leave of absence and decided to take some time for myself.

I started looking for ways to become a better version of myself. I realized that in order to do this, I need to develop myself.

Thus began my journey of personal development, which led me down the path of digital entrepreneurship. It was a road full of challenges and obstacles, but with each step, I became stronger, more confident and closer to my dream.

But what does personal development mean?

Personal development is a continuous process of learning, self-knowledge and self-improvement. It is a journey that helps us get to know ourselves better, tap into our potential and improve our quality of life.Personal development involves a number of aspects, including improving communication skills, developing new skills, learning to think critically, managing emotions, developing self-confidence, setting and achieving goals, improving health and well-being, and much more.Personal development is not just about getting better. It is also about becoming more aware of ourselves, our values, our passions and what we really want in life. It's about learning to love ourselves as we are, with all our imperfections, and working to become the best version of ourselves.

Personal development is a journey, not a destination. It is a lifelong process. But it's a journey worth taking, because as we grow and improve, we begin to live a fuller, happier, more fulfilling life. One of the most effective ways to develop personally is to read. Books are an inexhaustible source of knowledge, inspiration and understanding. Here are some book recommendations that can help in the process of personal development:

1. "Thinking Fast, Thinking Slow" by Daniel Kahneman,

2. "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle,

3. "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie,

4. "Mindset: The New Psychology of Success" by Carol S. Dweck,

5. "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen R. Covey.

These books are just a starting point in your journey of personal development. Each of them has the potential to change the way you see the world and yourself. So pick up a book, crack it open, and begin your journey to self-knowledge and self-improvement.For example, "Thinking Fast, Thinking Slow" by Daniel Kahneman: This book is a fascinating exploration of how we think and make decisions. Kahneman, winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics, shows us how our minds work and how we can use this knowledge to improve our thinking and decisions. In this book, Kahneman introduces us to two systems of thought that guide our decisions and actions: System 1, which is fast, intuitive, and emotional, and System 2, which is slow, deliberative, and logical.System 1 operates automatically and quickly, with little or no effort and no sense of voluntary control.System 2 allocates attention to difficult mental activities that require effort, including complex calculations. System 2 activity is often associated with the subjective experience of effort, choice, and concentration.Kahneman explores how the two systems of thought influence our decisions, from mundane everyday choices to major investment decisions. He shows how biases and thinking errors can creep into our decisions when we let System 1 take over and when we don't use System 2 enough to analyze and evaluate situations. This happened to me too. System 1 took full control at those times. I learned from this book how to use System 2 more effectively, how to control myself in difficult situations and sit and analyze and only then decide.

This book can help you in many ways. First, it gives you a better understanding of how the human mind works. Understanding these cognitive processes can help you make better decisions, avoid thinking errors, and improve your problem-solving skills. In addition, "Thinking Fast, Thinking Slow" can help you become more aware of your own biases and learn how to overcome them. For example, the book discusses "confirmation bias," our natural tendency to seek out and interpret information in a way that confirms what we already believe. Understanding this bias can help you become a more critical and objective thinker. In conclusion, Thinking Fast, Thinking Slow is essential reading for anyone who wants to better understand the human mind and improve their decision-making ability.

In the next article I will talk about "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle and how this book can help you in your personal development.

Until next time....🤗💖
